As a middle school student, Annie Harvieux described herself as the least-competitive person imaginable.
As an eighth-grader she joined the Duluth East High School varsity Nordic ski team and her outlook changed.
She has raced to the head of the pack as an East senior. Harvieux is ranked No. 1 among Minnesota high school girls entering today’s Section 7 meet at Giants Ridge in Biwabik to lead the defending state champion Greyhounds.
